Title: Reassigned: Part 2 - Denoument
Rating: NC-17
Characters: Angel Starr and Miles Edgeworth
Time Period: Six months or so after 3-4
Words: ~3500
Warnings: Let's see, nothing big other than the previous crack couple warning again. This one also has sex in it.

“Prosecutor Edgeworth.” Her voice was soft but strong. “That kind of thing means nothing. It was just business. The things you do undercover…” )

Reassigned: Part 1 - Rush

Title: Reassigned: Part 1 - Rush
Rating: PG-13 (next chapter is NC-17)
Characters: Angel and Miles
Time Period: Six months or so after 3-4
Words: ~4000
Warnings: Crack couple ahoy. I play Edgeworth at [info]gyakusai_rp and he's in a relationship with Angel Starr, after like four or five months of RP-canon interactions. I was wondering what it would be like to put the two of them together in actual game canon. So I did, in a flashback back to when Edgeworth was a bratty 20-year-old. He could be more of a jerk, but he's interacting with a co-worker and not a rival, so that's what's up with that. First chapter is mostly gen.

Casually, “You said ‘if you please.’ It’s not good to bottle things up, Prosecutor. My job is to get people to spit it out, hm?” She tilted her head and gave him her most charming smile. )

Case 1: Turnabout Memories

Hohoho~ I am catching up. I still have to write a penance drabble for Case 4 tho. Not sure what I should write about even. I feel like I've exhausted myself on thinking about that case. ._.; Maybe I'll write something silly.

Ah, I love teeny Feenie. He is so cute and idealistic and 100% stupid and dumb. :D I really like this image of Phoenix as this guy who is so hapless about social situations that he immediately resorts to pushing dudes over and tackling ladies instead of just storming off or whatever. It is really depressing that they're like "Why would a girl like Dahlia want to date a guy like you!?" but Takumi has said that as far as attractiveness... I guess Phoenix in the game is about as doofy-looking as some of the people cosplaying Phoenix in real life :D;;; Sometimes I wish the character designs were strong enough to convey things like that. Because they say that Powers is ugly/scary, but he's really not THAT bad. In some of his poses. Anyway. Eating glass. What.

DAH FUCK YOU GROSSBERG I DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DAMN HEMORRHOIDS EVERY FIVE SECONDS.

It's kind of fun to play as boobs Mia, but I really wish that they'd used this case as an opportunity to flesh her out a bit more. She does get some development, but if you really think about it, Payne gets more than her, because they unlock this whole facet of his character as a cocky sexist bastard who thinks he's super-awesome at prosecuting against rookies, which is something completely new and interesting about him. Whereas with Mia, they basically show us all the things we already knew, that she was kind of a know-it-all who thought outside the box and shit. She still ends up pretty flat (LOL IRONY) by the end which is depressing since I like her basic character outline.

I love how Phoenix is like "Good times... good times. My girlfriend tried to kill me and I ate some glass. Yup. Good times."

Case 4: Farewell, My Turnabout

I'm catching up finally! I finished this case in one day instead of two! I am winnar! And since the game won't ACTUALLY be able to be bought until the 20th, I'll have an extra day. Maybe I can finish early and play Professor Layton... :|

THE MIRACLE NEVER HAPPEN. )

I might be almost on my way towards catching up! Probably I'll get through this thing! Maybe not... But at least I have something to say. And plus I can get through a couple of the shorter cases in 3 in one day, I'm sure. Maybe I'll be able to do this...? OH WELL

ON TO THE MADNESS )

Case 5: Rise from the Ashes (PENANCE)

As my penance for not finishing some of the cases in the countdown, I decided to write a drabble for each of the cases I missed. This is also trying to keep me from skipping cases. >_> This one is for Rise From The Ashes and will hopefully prevent Sil from being fake angry with me for not playing it again. I know you had to play it a bizillion times OK! I am weak.

For a bit of explanation, I know what the fan-idea of Gant is, and I know that it's based on the creepy, staring, probably-close-talker image he has for most of Case 5. But when I replayed the case a few weeks ago, just before the countdown started, I think I really liked the Gant that you see at the end... arguably the true Gant. He's a tired old man who still believes in what he's done. He doesn't regret having done what he did, he just regrets doing it badly. So here we go.

BUT HE WAS THREE WEEKS AWAY FROM RETIREMENT! )

Case 1: The Lost Turnabout

I decided to skip the last two cases in Game 1, which I am super late with, and start catching up with Game 2, which I'm more interested in playing anyway since I haven't played it in a year or so. Don't kill me Sil. ;_; I'll probably post a short round-up of case 4 and 5 eventually, but I want to get caught up with the second game first.

Here's a few scattered thoughts )

Case 3: Turnabout Samurai

(xxmyfearsmylies) Turn off the damn fan
Urg, here I am a day behind. It's not as though I didn't expect it, though. I work full time nowadays and I don't have a lot of free time for sitting around and playing games. Even playing through my break today and yesterday I didn't get Case 3 done on time. I'll be catching up quite neatly on the weekends, and I would definitely be on time right now, had I allowed myself to skip ahead over the weekend. Anyway, onto the comments:

(hours later) Wait... 'Hammer' injured himself!? OH GOD FUCKING DAMMIT )

Case 1-1: The First Turnabout

I just finished my replay of Game 1 on Wednesday or so, but it was Decemberish when I started, so it had been long enough since I played case 1. This playthrough was the first time I did a case without pressing every statement. It made the whole thing go by pretty quickly, but being as I just played it, I think I'm fine with that. I just like all of the silly statements so much~

Reflections on Case 1 )

I think I'll definitely be able to finish each of the cases on time, without pressing the statements, at least for this first game. I plan on being a little bit more in-depth with Game 2, though, considering that it's been a while since I've played it and I need to brush up on Pearl, now that I'm playing her. If I need to, I might skip ahead on the weekends, or use them to catch up. I wonder if that will be against the rules...

Reunion

(aiwa_icons) Phoenix Down
Title: Reunion
Rating: G
Characters: Edgeworth and Wright, other characters mentioned.
Time Period: Before what would be GS4.
Words: Just about 3000
Warnings: Something like spoilers, but not really. Lots of head-hopping.
Description: For [info]chewilicious's birthday! I asked what she would like and she said this: "I wanted someone to write something based on the alternate ending to 2-4, where Phoenix wins the case and runs away. You know me and that I'm all for romance fics, but what I actually love just as much or even more are really good heart-touching friendship fics. So throw some Edgeworth in there however you see fit." Especial thanks to [info]silverwind9 for beta reading.

So here we are, an alternate universe where 'The Miracle Never Happen.' )

You can't hide secrets from the future.

I expended a lot of effort to make this fandom journal unconnected to my main journal. (with a few accidental hiccups.) Why? Well, partly because my mother reads my main journal. In addition, it's probably possible, with some effort, to find my main journal by searching my name/other information. Which means that prospective employers could be reading, which makes it necessary for some degree of decorum. And finally, not all of my friends on my main journal are even remotely interested in fanfic, which I haven't written in some time and when I did write it, I did not post on livejournal.

But I was listening to a song by MC Frontalot, which is on top of the tracklist and downloadable for free, called "Secrets from the Future," talking about the eventuality that our modern encryptions will appear pathetically weak to the eyes of the technologically advanced future, and the only way we'll be able to live on in people's memories is by being a hard nut to crack, metaphorically speaking. The future will only hold an interest in us so long as our secrets are hard to find, and when they're revealed we'll stop being entertaining.

It made me wonder what future generations would think of this particular secret of mine, and well...

This came out of it. )

MAYBE I DO, POSSIBLE FUTURE PROGENY. Probably not, though.

I'll be blogging along with all the people in the Phoenix Wright blogathon... Which is probably why anyone is reading this at all. This is my first non-fic post in this journal, which feels a little curious to me.

In any case, it's good to meet all of you out there! I'd best be finishing my replay of the first game before this whole thing starts. Luckily I won't have to worry about being bored of it, since I got stalled before Christmas.

Time Period: Just after DL-6

Notes: This fic was inspired by this drabble by Pyrasaur, who has my love and devotion. I promised to bring her love at some point in the future, and this is not it, but it comes with love. It’s a DL-6 anniversary fic. Special thanks to [info]chewilicious for beta reading and edit help.

It hit him suddenly: the memory of darkness, and his son’s shouting voice. )
